The favorite sports franchise in Indiana, the Indianapolis Colts, have become the latest NFL team to do a sports betting deal. In what is the first deal of its kind for the Colts, they have officially made Caesars Entertainment and William Hill sportsbook the official sports betting partner of the team.
Pending regulatory approval by the Hoosier State’s legal authority for sports betting, the Indiana Gaming Commission, the Caesars newly rebranded Indiana online sports betting app “Caesars Sports Book by William Hill” will integrate into the Colts’ existing media and marketing efforts, delivering exclusive promotions and offers straight to fans through their quality sports betting app and site.
As reported earlier in October, Caesars Entertainment has agreed to buy William Hill for around $3.7 billion. The deal is expected to finally close across business entities during the second half of 2021. William Hill currently has around 170 sportsbooks in 15 states in the U.S., including Indiana.
The role of Caesars’ industry leading Loyalty Program critical
Caesars Rewards, the online casino and sports betting industry’s largest and most influential customer loyalty programme, will produce a free-to-play “Pick 6 Predictor” game on the Colts Mobile App platform as part of the deal.
Before Colts’ games, the Caesars Pick 6 Predictor will publish a set of questions where the fans can predict the outcomes. Correct predictions will be rewarded with weekly awards, and all Pick 6 Predictor participants will enjoy the chance to win a fully paid trip to Las Vegas to stay in a Caesars Entertainment property.
Indianapolis Colts Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Roger Van Der Snick is excited about the concept:
“In the digital age, and particularly this virtual world in which we find ourselves now, finding new ways to engage with our fans, partners and community is one of our top priorities.
“This partnership with Caesars Entertainment and William Hill will help us better connect with Colts fans everywhere as we navigate this very unique season in 2020 and offer a greater fan experience well into the future” he said.
Caesars Entertainment Co-President of Sports and Online Gaming, Chris Holdren explained further:
“Our company has deep roots in Indiana. This expanded partnership with William Hill and our long relationship with the Indianapolis Colts deepens our strong ties within the community. Combined, both will provide an exciting entertainment experience – on gamedays and beyond.” Holdren said.
Its not all about Caesars – there’s William Hill too
Courtesy of the Caesars takeover deal, Indianapolis Colts fans can also look forward to enjoying the superb sports betting services of William Hill. With almost a century of experience behind them, the U.K-based gaming giant offers Caesars and Colts fans a level of expertise previously unknown in the Hoosier State, as evidenced by the recent nomination as SBC Global Sportsbook of the Year along with FanDuel.
“William Hill Sports Book entered the Indiana market last year and has seen tremendous success. This latest partnership between William Hill, Caesars Entertainment and the Indianapolis Colts brings together three industry-leaders that are reshaping the way fans engage with sports during unprecedented times,” Chief Marketing Officer of William Hill, Sharon Otterman said.
“We’re excited to be revolutionizing the way fans connect with their hometown team in Indianapolis and look forward to all that’s in store for this football season.” Otterman added.
The Colts are doing well in 2020 and appear to be on their way to playoff berth this season.
