One of New Jersey’s leading online sports betting sites BetMGM, have made an historic agreement with NASCAR’s Richard Childress Racing (RCR) to become the first sportsbook to undertake a partnership with a NASCAR team. What’s more, as an Authorized Gaming Operator of NASCAR, BetMGM will work closely with NASCAR in collaboration to produce and promote and a range of engaging sports betting experiences, including the introduction of in-race betting options, for racing fans in the Garden State and across the United States a whole.

BetMGM to sponsor select NASCAR races

Throughout the period of the one-year partnership, the leading online sportsbook will become of official sports betting operator of RCR and the two parties will team up for marketing opportunities, primary race sponsorship for select races throughout the 2021 NASCAR season and pre-race and post-race events.

It all kicks off with an associate partnership for RCR’s No. 3 Chevrolet driven by Austin Dillon, in addition to the No. 8 Chevrolet driven by Tyler Reddick, at the NASCAR Cup Series at event at Daytona International Speedway later in February.

“BetMGM is at the forefront of the sports betting and online gaming industry and RCR can certainly relate to their pioneering vision,” RCR chairman and Chief Executive Richard Childress said. “This innovative relationship will provide opportunities to collaborate in new and ground-breaking ways.” Childress continued.

Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer, added his enthusiasm to the deal with RCR; “Richard Childress Racing is one of the most respected and formidable teams in motorsports. Together we will develop compelling marketing opportunities and activations that introduce the BetMGM sports betting brand to NASCAR fans worldwide.”

BetMGM looks to expand NASCAR wagering options for betting fans

The deal with RCR reinforces the multiyear deal that BetMGM has signed with NASCAR as a whole. That multiyear betting partnership gives BetMGM the right to collaborate with NASCAR to promote and create a range of new wagering experiences for fans of the NASCAR series.

Expected to be introduced to BetMGM NJ once the series begins are exciting new betting types with markets under consideration like driver matchups, top-finishing drivers, stage winners and wagers possible of winning car numbers (much like horse racing betting) among others. In-play live betting on NASCAR series races will also be available.

Scott Warfield, NASCAR’s managing director of gaming, has gone on record to say that by partnering with BetMGM will allow NASCAR to “build on the positive energy and momentum” around in-race betting experiences.

“We’re excited to have such an iconic brand on board to expand our offerings and deepen our engagement with the most passionate fans in sports,” according to Warfield’s media release on the partnership.

Under the NASCAR deal, BetMGM has obtained the right to NASCAR trademarks and logos will promote NASCAR offerings in its mobile betting app, online sportsbook, range of social media channels and its bricks-and-mortar sportsbooks. BetMGM has also been cleared to be promoted on NASCAR’s website, mobile app and its various social media channels.

The two parties are also working to develop a free-to-play NASCAR game that will be featured on the website of both NASCAR and BetMGM.

The BetMGM deal with NASACAR and RCR are just the latest in the series of partnerships made by the online sportsbook over the last few months. The landmark deal with Yahoo Sports gave the sportsbook the rights to promote betting lines directly on Yahoo Sports and bet directly from the Yahoo platform, while other agreements, including deals with the PGA Tour, the Denver Broncos and the MLB’s Washington Nationals putting BetMGM directly in the hands of sports fans nationwide.
