Borgata Sportsbook’s NBA World Champions Winners Odds

It doesn’t feel that long ago that LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers took out the 2020 NBA World Championship given the postponement of the original season schedule. With the NBA All-Star Game now done-and-dusted, New Jersey’s online sportsbooks have reset the odds on the teams most likely to take out the title of World Champions in 2021.

We have scoured the biggest and most respected online casino and sportsbooks in the Garden State and tracked the best odds for the NBA World Champions in 2021 come from Borgata Sports.

Let’s examine the likely contenders for the title and their odds with Borgata (All odds current as 22 March 2021 – subject to change).

Brooklyn Nets

Borgata 2021 NBA Champions odds – +275

The Nets have snuck up on the Lakers and overtaken Los Angeles as favorites to take out the NBA Finals in 2021.

Going on a 12-1 blitz through late February to early March, the Nets behind superstars Kyrie Irving and James Harden are looking great. Adding Blake Griffin to the squad deepens the Nets rotation. When Kevin Durant returns from injury, this team will be looking down the barrel of nothing short of an NBA finals appearance. Anything else might be considered a failure.

Los Angeles Lakers

Borgata 2021 NBA Champions odds – +280

The defending champs have a target on their backs every night they take the floor. The Lakers need to get Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol back from injury as soon as possible before their odds start to blow out even further. As good as LeBron James is, he can’t be expected to do it all himself. He needs some buddies on the court if the Lakers are going to repel the challenges of the Jazz, the Clippers and the Suns in the West.

Los Angeles Clippers

Borgata 2021 NBA Champions odds – +550

After starting the season on fire, the Clippers have come back down-to-earth with young teams running-and-gunning against them exposing some defensive frailties. Of course, it all could turn around very quickly for the Clippers if they get their starting five back on the court including stars Patrick Beverley and Serge Ibaka.

Milwaukee Bucks

Borgata 2021 NBA Champions odds – +750

If the Milwaukee Bucks can manage to keep All-Star Game MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo fit, and on the court, the Bucks are the most likely team to compete with the Nets for dominance in the East. After coming back into action from the All-Star break, the Bucks have been on fire playing aggressively at both ends of the court.

Utah Jazz

Borgata 2021 NBA Champions odds – +800

Like the Clippers, the Jazz are another team that have slipped backwards after starting the new season at a million miles-per-hour. If the Jazz can rediscover their intensity in defense and get more output on the offensive end from the lukewarm shooting hand of Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz can beat any team in the league on their day.

Philadelphia 76ers

Borgata 2021 NBA Champions odds – +1300

Good enough to compete with their very best on their day if they can put their best team on the court, the 76ers need Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons to stay healthy. Simmons, in particular, is the creative force that Philly will need firing if the 76ers can keep up with the Bucks and Nets in the East.

Phoenix Suns

Borgata 2021 NBA Champions odds – +2800

The league’s best team on the road, the Suns are finally getting their best starting 5 back on the court and are really picking up their chase for the leaders in the Western Conference. A team to watch and extremely good betting value at their current long odds.
