New Jersey will host one of the largest sports betting conferences ever to be held in the United States later in 2021. The conference formerly known as ‘SBC Summit North America’ will now be known as ‘Betting on Sports America’ (BOSA) and will be held at the NJ’s Meadowlands Exposition Center, November 30 to December 2 due to the ongoing effects of the current global pandemic. BOSA had originally been scheduled to take place in June, however, the event was rescheduled to later in the year following talks with major operators, participating partners and the event’s sponsors. The new date now gives stakeholders an opportunity to make their plans for the event with more certainty and will provide a better event for all, ensuring more interactivity than a virtual conference. What BOSA will offer attendees? The SBC rebrand of Summit North America confirms that the conference is set retain everything that made the BOSA event, North America’s pre-eminent sports wagering trade show. Conference delegates will also enjoy new program content that has been rebooted to reflect the enormous growth occurring in the sports betting industry across the United States and Canada. The growth spurt in sports betting has defied expectation and expected slowdown due to the global pandemic, and the lessons learnt will be reflected in the conference content. BOSA attendees will experience a conference featuring more than 200 industry experts and senior executive speakers from around the world and across the North American continent, alongside an expo featuring up to 50 leading game developers and software providers showing off all their latest-and-greatest products and innovations. The BOSA expo section will boast an unrivalled opportunity to reveal and release cutting-edge new products and their high-value services to a large audience of attending operators who are continually expanding into the new sports wagering markets being created by more states legalizing online sports betting. The exclusively sports betting-focused nature of attendees will make the expo and networking events an ideal setting for industry suppliers to connect with their target customers and discuss a range of products that will allow for operators creating the competitive edge that they are searching for. Given the change to the end of year date window, the BOSA event will now host the inaugural SBC Awards North America, which is set to recognize the annual achievements of quality sports betting operators, affiliates and suppliers across North America. Full details of the SBC North America awards categories and how to enter are expected to be released in June. Rasmus Sojmark, SBC’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer said; “After what has been a challenging year (2020), we’re really excited about the prospect of staging a full program of physical events in 2021.” “Our sponsors and delegates are equally enthusiastic about the return of live trade shows and the additional business opportunities they lead to, so it’s great to be able to announce five events for everyone to add to their 2021 calendars. The move will allow us to stage a better event in December, with more speakers, a broader agenda, and 2,500 delegates able to attend the new, wider-ranging SBC Summit North America.” the SBC boss added. As a result of pushing back BOSA to late fall 2021 in order to host a live event in New Jersey, SBC have decided to help all the online betting industry stakeholders to stay in touch throughout the year. As a result, the SBC Digital North America online conference and expo has been brought forward to June 9 to 10 2021 to give online sportsbook and casino stakeholders the opportunity to connect mid-year.
