The FanDuel/Simplebet partnership is still a mock trial one and is primarily a one-year test to fully check the offering before it is fully rolled out across more sports other than the NFL.

Online bettors with FanDuel can look forward to a full immersive and interactive betting experience when it comes to making bets on their favorite individual players and team plays during the NFL games.

It would appear that the outlook of both Simplebet and FanDuel is to use the free game in the FanDuel mobile app version as a method to convert casual online bettors into regular in-play bettors.

Kudos to FanDuel for taking the one-year micro betting experiment on as Simplebet seeks to reach a long-term deal with the leading New Jersey sportsbook to install its technology to offer real time prop bets, using machine learning and automation to generate fast betting opportunities throughout the duration of any sporting match in any league.

Simplebet looking to expand their market exposure: Sports Bettors to Win Out

Chris Bevilacqua, Simplebet co-founder and Chief Executive Officer characterized the agreement with FanDuel as a marketing and distribution opportunity. The tech firm wants to increase its exposure, brand awareness and along the way, collect fan engagement data in order to be able to expand its micro betting platform in a unique and brand new as Bevilacqua explained;

“It hasn’t been done before because no one ever made the investment in machine learning and automation that’s required to enable this type of betting. These are all micro betting opportunities that are very engagement driven.” Bevilacqua specified.

“We’re turning what typically used to be a handful of bets and traditional bets, like over-under and outcome-based bets, where you have to watch the whole game, into a series of minigames throughout a game.” Bevilacqua added, clearly understanding the short attention spans of a younger generation of sports bettors who want and demand quick betting action and a faster turnaround on the investment of their money and precious leisure time.

Bevilacqua went on to add that Simplebet is looking to analyze how its “users are interacting, collect data, be able to see the user data and see how we can refine the product. From the sports leagues to the media companies, Bevilacqua noted they are fascinated by Simplebet’s fan engagement data and what it could possibly do for their own marketing and advertising.

Will Simplebet’s Micro Betting Work?

Micro betting on the outcome on each and every play of an NFL game is a totally new and innovative concept that sports books have not yet been able to tap into. The sports books have simply been waiting for the technology to catch up.

In the past, to offer live in-play wagers in every game, the sportsbooks literally required someone physically posting odds and betting lines in real-time and naturally, given the speed of play that has simply not been possible.

If they are proved ultimately successful, Simplebet, in combination with FanDuel can transform micro betting into the sports betting industry standard.

If done correctly (and with attention to privacy and security standards), Simplebet will be able to use the AI technology to collect data from both bettors and the professional sports leagues to customize the type of betting lines that each individual knows and prefers.

It’s the type of sports betting future we look forward to seeing.
