One of the top online sportsbooks in New Jersey, TheScore Bet have just announced their latest partnership deal with a leading U.S. sport, joining forces with Golf’s PGA Tour in a multiyear deal across the U.S. and it’s Canada home. TheScore Bet is based in Toronto and in recent times has made enormous strides in expanding its sports betting services across the United States. The announcement of the PGA Tour partnership deal is a timely one, as arguably the biggest golf tournament in the U.S, and the first major the golfing calendar, the U.S Masters, is on from April 8-11 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. TheScore Bet the latest NJ sportsbook to join the PGA Tour Team In announcing the partnership agreement, TheScore Bet becomes only the fifth betting operator of the PGA Tour in the U.S (FanDuel, BetMGM, PointsBet and DraftKings are the others), and the first betting operator of the Tour in Canada, according to the sports betting company’s media release. The PGA Tour’s Vice President of gaming, Scott Warfield, said that the Tour is energized by “engaging sports fans.” He described TheScore Bet sportsbook and sports news app as “one of the global leaders in delivering highly personalized sports betting information.” Warfield added that theScore’s potential reach to as many as 90 million users for the benefit of the relationship “will allow the Tour to engage fans in unique and creative ways.” “The PGA Tour has been an innovative industry leader in sports betting and we’re excited to collaborate to enhance our integrated media and betting experience,” Aubrey Levy, Senior Vice President of marketing and content for theScore, announced in the press release. “The PGA Tour is a proponent of leveraging media to create unique betting experiences and shares our view for the sizable potential of a regulated Canadian market. We’re proud to partner with the Tour as an Official Betting Operator immediately across the U.S., and in Canada as soon as legislation allows” Levy said. Details of TheScore Bet – PGA Tour relationship As part of the Official Betting Operator relationship, the PGA Tour will look to incorporate daily odds updates from theScore Bet online sportsbook in the PGA Tour’s live audio play-by-play, as broadcast by the via SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio and PGA Tour Digital platforms. Additionally, theScore Bet has won rights to advertise with the PGA Tour and its media partners with video content set to enhance its promotions on Golf and increase the visibility of coverage on both theScore and theScore Bet apps (both available for download in iOS and Android formats). The deal is the latest development in the PGA Tour’s “Official Betting Operator” program that begun with the announcement of the DraftKings deal in July 2020. Further sportsbook partnerships followed with the BetMGM deal announcement in August 2020 and PointsBet joined the Tour that same month. PointBet’s partner through the Meadowlands Race Track land-based licensing agreement, FanDuel, became the PGA Tour’s fourth sports betting partner in September 2020. The deal between all five online sportsbooks and the Professional Golf Association are the latest in a series of sports betting initiatives for the PGA Tour, including the global partnership deal with IMG ARENA for the distribution of official live scoring data to a number of sportsbook operators globally, and an industry leading integrity program in collaboration with the U.K-based Genius Sports. Additionally, the PGA Tour recently became a member to the National Council on Problem Gambling and is partnered with the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) ‘Have A Game Plan’ responsible sports betting campaign and education program.
