New Jersey has welcomed its latest online sportsbook and casino with Wynn Resorts making its first foray into the Garden State market. However, it was a launch without the usual pomp and fanfare after years of speculation that Wynn would enter New Jersey’s online betting industry any day.

Wynn Resorts has become the latest operator to enter New Jersey’s online gaming market after completing the soft launch of its online sportsbook and casino app in the Garden State and has now gone live.

Wynn Sports features a same-platform integrated online casino just one click away and the platform is currently only available as a mobile-only app. The desktop version of the platform for PCs and laptops is set to launch at a later date.

Without a physical property among Atlantic City‘s casinos to host their online licenses for their New Jersey online casino and sportsbook, Wynn Resorts needed to nail down a land-based partner in the Garden State. Wynn Resorts finally struck up a partnership deal with Caesars Entertainment, which owns several casinos in Atlantic City. Wynn’s Online Sportsbook & Casino is the fourth skin on Caesars New Jersey license, alongside 888Sport, Harrahs and Caesars themselves.

What the New Wynn Betting Sites Have Available

It’s very early days after the launch and both Wynn’s Online Sportsbook and Casino will grow over time. That said, for now, here’s what we noticed in our first examination of the two sites.

Wynn Sports

Of course, the offerings at the Wynn Sportsbook are limited by what is sports are currently being played. That said, this August is busier than a traditional August which is usually the quietest sports betting month of the year in New Jersey. With the NHL and NBA back in action after their enforced lay-offs, sports betting action might end up being bigger than anticipated by the Wynn Sports Team.

Obviously, the Wynn Sports online sportsbook product is in its infancy, but the first signs appear promising. Here are some of the current sports betting options at Wynn Sports;

  • MLB
  • NHL
  • NBA
  • NFL (Futures Only as currently out of season as at 1 September 2020)
  • MMA (UFC)
  • Soccer

Points Spreads, Money line bets, Parlay Bets, Totals Betting, Over/Unders betting types all appear to part of a neatly presented package. Odds and lines appeared to be competitive at first glance. With German company BetBull setting the betting odds and lines, it could mean for some unique betting markets opening up in the Garden State as BetBull are renown in the industry for producing a range of left-field betting market innovations in their European experience.

Wynn Online Casino

In terms of the Wynn Online Casino choices, its strictly a staple of online slots for now until online casino table games like blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps and poker are added. There are only 40 slots titles offered now including;

  • Starmania
  • Medusa
  • Jackpot Jester 200K
  • Irish Eyes 2
  • Cash Stampede

What’s next for Wynn online

Rival Las Vegas companies have made faster transitions into sports betting, however, it appears that Wynn is preparing a ‘long game’. The launch in New Jersey is a nice start, however, it has formed a partnership with Full House Resorts, Inc to open up the ability to begin a sports betting platform in Colorado and Indiana as well. Both of those states are now legal online sports betting states and both are expected to grow much like the state of New Jersey did.

What’s more, Wynn Resorts also own Encore Boston Harbor in Massachusetts, and they have been vocal supporters in the sports betting legalization debate in the Bay State too. If Massachusetts are to legalize sports betting sooner rather later as expected, Wynn appears perfectly set to launch sports betting inside their own property in addition to hosting an online sports betting license there as well.
