Milwaukee Bucks vs. Denver Nuggets Betting Predictions

Bucks vs Nuggets NBA
Milwaukee vs. Denver, NBA Betting Predictions, March 2

The Milwaukee Bucks hope to extend their winning streak to six games Tuesday when they welcome the Denver Nuggets to Wisconsin. Denver has won three of its last four games as they hit the middle of their five-game road swing Tuesday. It should be a tight affair with the hosts earning a slight edge at the end of it all.

Team vs Team Betting Odds

The Milwaukee Bucks have straightened out its woes with a five-game winning streak to counteract its previous five-game losing skid. They look to extend that streak to six games Tuesday when they welcome the Denver Nuggets to Milwaukee. The Bucks are a completely different team at home with a 14-4 record at the Fiserv Forum this season compared to a 7-9 record away from home. That home-court advantage is important against a Denver team that has won three of its last four games entering Tuesday’s contest.

It’s no surprise that Giannis Antetokounmpo is the heart of the Bucks squad, and the two-time MVP is having a fantastic year again this season. He’s averaging nearly 30 points per game while adding almost 12 rebounds and six assists per game. Khris Middleton is a strong complement for Antetokounmpo as the second Bucks player averaging 20 points per game this season, and he is having an excellent year from behind the arc with a 43.4 percent shooting percentage from 3-point range this season.

The key Tuesday, though, will be how Brook Lopez and Antetokounmpo team up to slow down Denver’s Nikola Jokic. Perhaps no player is more valuable to his team this season than Jokic, who is doing it all for the Nuggets on the floor. He’s averaging 27 points, 11 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game this year for Denver while shooting 56.6 percent from the field and 41.1 percent from 3-point range. If the Bucks can slow down Jokic, it will make a massive difference in this game. As good as Jamal Murray has been for Denver this season with his 21.7 points per game, it is Jokic that drives the boat.

It’s not a surprise that the NBA betting sites in New Jersey made Milwaukee the favorite in this game, but it was shocking to see the spread at seven points. These two teams are more evenly matched than that spread indicates, so even though Milwaukee should win the game, my bet is on the Nuggets plus 5.5 points for +120 odds at the basketball betting sites in New Jersey. This is going to be a one- or two-possession game and though I expect Milwaukee to win, the value is to take Denver plus the points as opposed to the Bucks on the moneyline or laying fewer points.

Where I’m taking a bigger risk at the legal sports betting sites in New Jersey is on the parlay bets. I’m betting on Milwaukee to win the game and under 234.5 points for +150 odds. Each of Denver’s last four games have featured 230 points or fewer and Milwaukee is coming off a tough slog against the Clippers, who are better than the Nuggets but not by enough for this to be a high-scoring affair. Denver and Milwaukee can both sit down and play good defense, so I expect this will be more of a slugfest than freeform game with scoring up and down the court.

My Prediction

Denver +7 points

I expect the Bucks to be able to win this game, but it’s going to be a tight one with the Nuggets. Milwaukee is on the upswing during this current win streak at home, but the victories haven’t been dominant recently. Denver has played many tight games as well, so with the odds being the same, I’ll take the Nuggets and the points.
