BetMGM has officially launched in the Keystone State of Pennsylvania, with the company’s online casino the first product for the state’s bettors to enjoy. With the BetMGM PA online sportsbook license approved and ready for launch before the end of the year, the company will soon have its full suite of online gaming products available for Pennsylvanians to enjoy.
With the app available for download on both Android and iOS, as well as accessible via a smooth-running HTML5 powered browser version, BetMGM Online Casino offers state-of-the-art and easy-to-use online casino games. Players have access to an extensive array of slot tournaments, progressive jackpots with jackpots shared with other legal BetMGM states, Blackjack, roulette, and video poker, highlighting the casino and slot games on offer.
Before 2020 is over with, just like in neighboring New Jersey, you’ll be able to access BetMGM’s quality sportsbook just one click way on the same platform as the online casino for use on all your NBA, NHL, NFL, UFC, college basketball, college football, MLB, soccer, golf, tennis and other sports betting needs.
BetMGM delighted to be finally up-and-running in the Keystone State
“We’re thrilled to bring BetMGM’s online casino offering to Pennsylvania,” said BetMGM Chief Executive Officer, Adam Greenblatt, upon the company’s PA online casino launch.
“With more than 140 different games, including our own in-house progressive jackpot network, we’re delivering the widest range of content currently available in the state. Alongside MGM Resorts and its M life Rewards program, BetMGM will provide players with a truly unique entertainment experience.” Greenblatt said.
That synthesis of the MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards program allows for BetMGM online casino customers (and sports bettors soon) in Pennsylvania to redeem their gameplay for top-notch experiences at iconic MGM Resorts properties nationwide, such as the MGM Grand and Bellagio in Las Vegas, the Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and the MGM National Harbor in Maryland.
The news comes fresh off the back of the BetMGM Online Sportsbook becoming the first-ever betting partner for PA’s favorite sports team, the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL, currently sitting firmly atop the AFC North standings.
Poker Not Yet a Part of BetMGM betting platform in PA
The launch of Bet MGM’s online casino gaming comes following the approval of BetMGM by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) some five to six weeks ago.
In late October, the PGCB granted BetMGM an Interactive Gaming Operator License, allowing the leading gaming operator to offer online casino and also online poker in the Keystone State.
Online poker room aficionados will be disappointed to learn that an online poker room is not yet part of BetMGM online casino game offerings. However, given the complexities of vetting an online poker platform due to the intricate nature of how the game flow runs and it is played, it is not surprising to see BetMGM prefer to wait on launching the online poker room and concentrate on online casino games and the sportsbook before the launch of their online poker room product.
However, the good news is that an online poker room is eventually expected to be launched by BetMGM, although an early 2021 launch date is looking likely. Nothing is expected before the end of 2020.
That news comes on the back of another leading operator in 888Sport and 888Casino, potentially launching operations in the Pennsylvania online poker market after it was recently approved by PGCB as an Interactive Gaming Manufacturer. However, the timeframe for the launch of an 888-branded Poker Room (888Poker PA) in Pennsylvania remains unknown for the time being.
Watch for news of the launch of the BetMGM PA Sportsbook soon.
