With all deference to the parochial Pittsburgh Steelers fans, the favorite NFL team in Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia Eagles are leading the way for the Keystone Stone when it comes to doing deals with online sportsbooks. Just last month, the Eagles announced a multiyear partnership with the Fox Bet PA sportsbook and straight off the back of that, PA’s favorite team has just announced another deal, this time with leading online sports wagering provider, DraftKings to become their official daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) and sports betting partner.
The Details of the DraftKings – Eagles Deal
As part of the partnership deal, DraftKings will gain exclusive naming rights to Lincoln Financial Field’s field club, a premium lounge set to be renamed “The DraftKings Field Club”, according to a press release. The Field Club will feature a VIP experience and exclusive game day access, including on-field viewing areas in the north end zone, hospitality and catering in the private club and additional benefits to members and guests.
Ezra Kucharz, DraftKings’ Chief Business Officer, announced in the official Eagles media release;
“Philadelphia is home to some of the most passionate football fans, and we could not be more excited to join forces with the Eagles. Be it fans at home, on the DraftKings mobile app, or inside Lincoln Financial Field, we look forward to introducing Eagles fans and DraftKings customers alike to an all-encompassing DraftKings experience.”
As well as gaining the Field Club naming rights at Lincoln Financial Field, DraftKings’ branding will also be integrated across many of the Philadelphia Eagles’ social media and digital channels, including livestreaming events of Eagles practice sessions, in-game branding plus signage and a video scoreboard presence at Lincoln Financial Field. DraftKings’ branding is also set to be included in Eagles-affiliated broadcasts and will be included in the sponsorship of the Philadelphia team’s annual NFL Draft Party.
Additionally, DraftKings will produce ‘Eagles Stat Showdown’ using their in-play stat gathering technology, a new free-to-play game that fans can access giving them the chance to win prizes during every week of the regular NFL season. The new contest is reported to feature 8 stat-related multiple-choice questions, such as how many receiving yards for Greg Ward each week, QB passing yards for Carson Wentz or even sacks made by the stellar Eagles defensive line.
The Eagles looking forward to the new DraftKings Partnership
Catherine Carlson, Senior Vice President of Revenue and Strategy, at the Philadelphia Eagles made the announcement of the DraftKings agreement from the Eagles side of the deal;
“Our partnership with DraftKings presents many new and exciting opportunities that will help drive the fan experience at Lincoln Financial Field to the next level. DraftKings has established itself as an emerging leader in the sports and entertainment space with an already strong presence in Philadelphia. We look forward to a successful future with DraftKings and showcasing the value of our shared vision in fun and engaging ways for our fans.”
