NBA Picks and Parlay of the Weekend

The NBA had an entire day off on Thursday, which means the players will be fresh and ready to get back on the court Friday. There are 10 games on the schedule Friday, all of which also count for the NBA’s in-season tournament. Therefore, a three-game parlay on Friday seemed like the perfect way to get a busy NBA weekend started. Let’s check out three picks that we think would be ideal for a three-leg parlay on Friday.

Sacramento Kings vs Minnesota Timberwolves Best Bet:

Timberwolves -4 | -108 at FanDuel

The Kings went on a six-game winning streak earlier this month, but back-to-back losses against the Pelicans earlier this week have cooled them off. Those losses make Sacramento 4-5 on the road this season. If they were playing an inferior team, the Kings might be able to get back on track. But closing out a long road trip against the T’Wolves will be a tough matchup for them. Keep in mind that Keegan Murray, the team’s third-leading scorer, will miss this game, making it that much more difficult to keep up with the T’Wolves.

On the other side, Minnesota is 10-1 since the start of November. The Timberwolves are 8-2-1 against the spread this month, including a perfect 6-0 against the spread at home in November. the way Anthony Edwards has emerged as a high-volume scorer to complement the inside presence of Karl-Anthony Towns has made the Timberwolves a serious threat in the Western Conference. With Edwards scoring and one of the biggest frontcourts in the NBA, the T’Wolves should win this game comfortably.

Washington Wizards vs Milwaukee Bucks Best Bet:

Bucks -13 | -112 at FanDuel

Not only are the Bucks playing one of the worst teams in the league but they’ll be extra motivated to play at home after a close loss to Boston on Wednesday. Granted, Milwaukee’s record against the spread leaves something to be desired. But after a loss, they won’t overlook the Wizards. They actually won and covered in Washington on Monday, and a team that averages over 120 points per game should be able to do the same on Friday.

To be fair, the large spread should give bettors some pause. However, Washington has been egregiously bad this season, going 2-12. This will be the third time the Wizards are double-digit underdogs this season, and they’ve failed to beat the spread in either game. Defensively, they’ve been terrible, giving up 142 points against Milwaukee on Monday. Plus, with just two players averaging over 12 points per game, the Wizards don’t have the scorers to stay within 13 points of the Bucks in this game.

Detroit Pistons vs Indiana Pacers Best Bet:

PickUnder 248.5 | -108 at FanDuel

The Pacers were a part of history in their 157-152 win over the Hawks earlier this week. They are also a ridiculous 13-1 O/U this season. However, the rule of averages has to start evening that out at some point. This will also be the second-highest over/under for a game involving the Pacers this season, so it’ll be a challenge for them to top that mark.

Meanwhile, as talented as the Pacers are offensively, the Pistons are averaging less than 110 points per game. Detroit is incredibly young and doesn’t always get consistent scoring outside of Cade Cunningham. With the Pistons being held below 110 points in seven of their last 10 games, the Pacers will have to go wild to get the total points beyond 248 in this game, so we’ll buck the trends and take the under in this game.
