NBA Picks and Parlay of the Weekend

It’s true that March Madness betting is on the mind of most basketball fans with the Final Four being decided this weekend. But don’t forget that Friday is a big night for the NBA with a dozen games scheduled. What can you do with those dozen games? Well, the USA Legal Betting team decided to create a three-leg parlay.

We’re not saying you have to follow our picks exactly. However, we do suggest checking out some betting apps and finding one that fits what you want. But just in case you do want to listen to our experts, here is our three-leg parlay for Friday with odds from FanDuel.

Chicago Bulls vs Brooklyn Nets Best Bet:

Nets +5.5 | -110 at FanDuel

It looks like the Nets have turned things around after a six-game losing streak. That should be good news for folks in Brooklyn using New York sportsbooks. With back-to-back wins over the Raptors and Wizards this week, Brooklyn just needs to stay close against the Bulls. Keep in mind the Nets won both games this week without Cameron Johnson and Dennis Smith Jr. Both have a chance to play Friday, helping to tip the scales even further in Brooklyn’s favor.

On the other side, we’re not going to overreact to the Bulls beating the Pacers on Wednesday. This Chicago team is still 3-7 against the spread in its last 10 games. Right now, the Bulls are comfortably in the play-in tournament but too far from making the top six in the Eastern Conference, so their motivation could be low. With three games in the next four days, the Bulls may need to rest and rotate more than usual, which is another reason we find it hard to envision Chicago covering the spread on the road.

New York Knicks vs San Antonio Spurs Best Bet:

Knicks -110 | -110 at FanDuel

At first glance, this spread almost looks like too much for the Knicks to cover. Keep in mind that they’re still playing without Julius Randle and OG Anunoby. But New York’s recent track record indicates that isn’t a problem. The Knicks have won three in a row and seven of their last eight games. Their only loss during that stretch was a road game against the Nuggets. They’re also coming off a 44-point win in Toronto on Wednesday. In fact, the Knicks are 10-3-1 against the spread as road favorites. That’s just too much to ignore, even with a spread this big.

In fairness, The Spurs have also won two in a row, including a surprising win over the Suns as double-digit favorites. For a team that’s just 17-56, San Antonio has been surprisingly resilient at times, especially during the second half of the season. But the Spurs are also prone to blowout losses too. With the Knicks coming into town red-hot, that’s a distinct possibility, which is why we’ll take our chances with the better team.

Dallas Mavericks vs Sacramento Kings Best Bet:

Mavericks ML | -102 at FanDuel

Friday’s game is a rematch of a game played between these two teams on Tuesday that the Mavericks won 132-96. Typically, an immediate rematch between two teams with almost identical records would favor the team that lost. But Tuesday’s game was such a blowout that it’s hard to get behind Sacramento. Are the Kings actually going to turn things around after losing by 36 points?

More importantly, the Mavs are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now. They’ve won five in a row and nine of their last 10 games, going 9-1 against the spread during that stretch. Even after blowing out the Kings on Tuesday, Dallas is a slight underdog on Friday. Given how well they’ve played lately, even with Luka Doncic a little banged up, we’re going to back Dallas to win to complete our parlay.
