NFL Parlay of the Weekend | Week 8

Week 8 is here, and we still have a lot of questions about these teams. We have seen the Niners and Bills struggle while the Dolphins continue to struggle away from Miami. The unexpected results mean that bookmakers are struggling to handicap these games, giving us room to make a solid profit.

Jets ML | -146 at FanDuel Sportsbook

We don’t recommend watching this brutal matchup, but there is money to be made. The Jets have begun to turn their season around and have strung two wins together. Their playoff hopes to seem to have resurfaced, thanks to Zach Wilson settling in as a game manager. Breece Hall has been great out of the backfield, helping the offense do just enough to support their elite defense.

Speaking of the Jets’ defense, they are going to terrorize the Giants this weekend. Daniel Jones remains out, meaning Tyrod Taylor will be behind center. Saquon Barkley is likely to play but is questionable with an injury. This Jets team would be hard for the Giants to beat at full strength, and we don’t think they have a chance with their current roster.

CJ Stroud over 1.5 passing TDs | +114 at DraftKings Sportsbook

This is our favorite leg of our parlay. CJ Stroud has been playing like a veteran quarterback for this young Texans team. He already has nine touchdowns through his first six games and has scored at least two in four of his last five games. He and Nico Collins have been hard to stop, and they should have no problem staying hot against a bad Carolina defense. 

The Panthers started the season strong on the defensive end, but they have been worn down thanks to a lackluster offense. Carolina has allowed 42 points in two consecutive games, and we see a similar performance tonight. Stroud was able to manage two touchdowns against a very good Saints defense, so we think he does it with ease against this floundering unit. 

Vikings ML | -125 at BetMGM Sportsbook

Don’t look now, but this Vikings team is starting to turn a corner. They have won two straight games, including an upset win against the Niners last week. The reason for their success has been their defense, which has improved greatly over the last few weeks. On offense, Kirk Cousins is having an incredible season, leading the league in passing touchdowns (16) while passing for the second most yards (2,057).

The Packers may be one of the worse teams in football. Jordan Love has been underwhelming after a strong start, and the offense has come out flat the last four weeks. They have scored just six first half points during that stretch. The Vikings offense is too good to allow them that kind of head start, and we see it leading to a win tonight.
