A $562 million casino project in Richmond, Virginia failed for the second time in the last two general elections, receiving only 41% support to 58% dissent.

The September total of $166.4 million in revenue was the second-most for a month since it launched iGaming in January 2021, flailing just short of the $171.8 million record set in March. It was also a 9.3% month-to-month increase on August and a 29.3% jump annually.

Employees of all levels and stations at MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, Hollywood Casino and Greektown joined the protest after the unions failed to agree on new wages and healthcare packages. The move happened hours after the casinos’ contracts with the Unite Here union expired.

Daquan Artis Tinker was convicted for the incident that occurred in December 2019. Prince William Circuit Court Judge Robert P. Coleman sentences the man to 98 years with 45 suspended and 53 still to serve, according to a press release from the county.

According to officials of the Grand Sierra Resort and Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, the $1 billion investment will be the largest in the city’s history. The plan calls for a 10,000-seat arena, a 140-acre, 800-room hotel, a golf center, live shows on the water, and other commodities.

Jereme Lamond Jones got into a fight with a well-known 41-year-old named Randy Johnson just outside the casino. He then chased him back inside before shooting the man with the entire clip in his gun in front of several casino-goers, per Harrison County prosecutors.

MGM claims that it has dealt with the issues caused by the attacks, but it reportedly still had problems with slot machines and hotel communications as recently as this week. Caesars confirmed in a filing published Thursday that it also dealt with a variety of issues when it was attacked in August.

Known by many for its partnership with rapper and entertainer Drake, Stake reported $16 million worth of withdrawals in Ethereum, Tether, USD Coin and DAI Monday morning, per Web3 security firm Cyvers. Crypto sleuth ZachXBT corroborated the report and also revealed another $25 million had been lost on Polygon and the Binance Smart Chain.

Rebecca Leo, a member of the Boston Police Department's (BPD) Bureau of Administration and Technology, accepted a 90-day suspension without pay for an August 7, 2022 incident. Leo is accused of swiping money from the wallet before she turned it in as a lost item.
