Highlights

  • Daniel Jones rushed for over 700 yards in 2022
  • AJ Dillon led the Packers in carries before Aaron Jones was injured
  • DJ Moore had just two targets in Week 1

We are officially into the NFL daily fantasy sports season, and Week 1 already gave us some surprising stars and disappointing performances. That resulted in a lot of heartbroken players who ended up losing money to DFS sites in the NFL’s opening week.

If you are looking to improve your DFS game for Week 2, we have you covered. Our USALegalBetting.com experts have poured over the stats, watched the highlights, and carefully studied 2022 performances to find the top sleeper picks for this weekend’s slate of games to help you win big.

Daniel Jones – QB New York Giants

Before you completely dismiss this pick, here us out. While Daniel Jones was flat out bad in Week 1, he was far from the only problem. The Giants offensive line allowed him to be sacked seven times, thanks to a stifling Dallas defense. They put it on the Giants right off the bat, throwing New York’s game plan into chaos.

That was bad, but Sunday is a new day, and he will be facing a much softer opponent. Daniel Jones will never be an elite passer, but he is an elite rusher. We also didn’t get to see Darren Waller as much as expected, largely because of the Cowboys unrelenting defense. You can expect that to change in Week 2.

The fact remains that Daniel Jones completed 67% of passes in 2022 while rushing for over 700 yards. He is still that same player, and we see him bouncing back to that level of play on Sunday.

AJ Dillon – RB Green Bay Packers

While Dillon didn’t see the same success as Aaron Jones on Sunday, he should be in store for the majority of carries in Week 2. Jones was injured in the second half of their win against the Bears, and he is questionable to play this weekend. Adam Schefter reported the Pro Bowler is likely to miss Sunday’s game, but even if he plays, he will be limited.

On top of that, we saw Green Bay be very careful with Jones in Week 1. After he helped lead the Packers to a touchdown on their opening drive, he barely saw the field for the remaining first half. Instead, they let AJ Dillon take the majority of carries.

Dillon and the Packers will be up against a Falcons team that was run over by the Panthers on Sunday. While they won the game, they allowed the Panthers to average 4.8 yards per carry and have two different backs to go for over 60 yards. That bodes well for Dillon this week, making him a great low budget running back option in Week 2.

DJ Moore – WR Chicago Bears

This may be the cheapest you will be able to add the Bears’ top wideout this season. It is hard to say he played poorly against the Packers in the first game, as he only had two targets, both of which he caught. Some of that can be chalked to Packers’ cornerback Jaire Alexander, but a lot of it comes down to the Bears game plan.

Chicago’s coaching staff has been ripped by experts and fans across the country for their game plan in Week 1. A big part of that centers around the lack of targets for DJ Moore, who was the teams prized addition in the offseason. If this staff wants to remain employed after that embarrassing loss, they will lean heavy on DJ Moore this weekend.

Moore and the Bears should have a great chance to put up big numbers on Sunday as they head to Tampa Bay. While the Bucs beat the Vikings in Week 1, they allowed Cousins to throw for 344 yards and two touchdowns. We know Fields can throw deep, so expect to see the Bears push that against a vulnerable Tampa secondary on Sunday.
